I doubt if John had started work when the trams stopped running, and previous to that probably like myself he walked everywhere because it was all he could afford. The only time we used trams, buses or trains were on days out to the Lickeys or Sutton Park.

Its Dr Tighe's house & surgery on the corner of Ashted Row and Vauxhall Rd. he ran his surgery from there before he moved up to Dr Topping's surgery on the corner of Willis St.
