I always thought that George was an acomplished musician and songwriter who tended to have his nose pushed out by Lennon & McCartney

George Harrison was certainly one of the more skilled musicians of the Beatles.

A Beatles quote I like was when someone asked John Lennon if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. John repllied "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles".

Wasn't Ringo chosen by Epstein who in fact knew very little about the type of music the Beatles played.
