Good morning all and welcome to a bright and sunny New Year

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better person.

happy new year to everyone. well we stayed in as well, done the going out and all that, do you remember many years ago when new year's day was not a bank holiday and you had to turn into to work. we were dog sitting a westie. her mom died about four years ago and her dad (human that is) decided to meet someone else who does not like dogs. poor millie is a 12 yr old westie, lovely dog. very frightened of fire works, so at about 7 last night the first of the bangers went off, she went mad tried to climb under the kitchen units. we put the t v on loud, closed the curtains, put a duvet over her and sat with her. she went to sleep and never heard the mass going off at midnight. she asleep again on top of my partner, they both snoring away.

we will be having her again this week end because he is partying down in reading. this is a 65 yr old (must be having his last flush of life). still we are happy to look after the dog,

steph

That's another thing why has new years eve turned into another November 5th? It seems to have only gone as noisy as it is now since millennium eve. At one time what you did on new years eve was to first foot or sing old lang syne or something that sounded close to it and not spend half an hour looking up at the sky whilst millions of pounds fizzled away all over the country.

I have to say that was a hell of a display from London, it went on and on. Super job London. At least its televised so that we can all have a look.

Good Morning All,

Looks like a pretty grey day for some of us to be heading back to work.

I've seen better days, But i've also seen worse. I don't have everything that I want, But I do have all I need. I woke up with some aches and pains, But I woke up. My life may not be perfect, But it will do.
