That's good. SB I was only there for about 6 months, more or less labouring on the Heidelburgs, printing LP record covers and the Triumph tina scooter brochures. A guy called Sunderland was the top man, and the father of the chapel was George ?? ,a mate of mine was Dave Faulkner who got me the job. I used to get fed up of signwriting and go and do something else as way of a holiday, another job I did was delivering hubcaps from a firm in Selly Oak on a night run to Ford at Dagenham driving an artic. I think it was about 1965.
No not very tall dead straight dark hair, smokes too much. my brother in law. Another brother in law there was Norman cairns, in the wages office i think.

John
That Passacaglia would have lasted about one week in Birmingham before some one carted it off to the scrap yard. In one piece or bit by bit it would have made no difference. We had a spate of disappearing manholes in Birmingham & Solihull a while back. It might have been the manufacturer of the piece (I won't insult artists a sculptors by calling him one) looking for materials.
