Well that's me finished work for 2010, we already have bl***y fireworks going off.
Just a thought, at 7.30 pm it will be midnight in Afghanistan, raise a glass to the lads and lassies out there.
Doing nothing now until next year.

Well I'm off out shortly for a well behaved evening which means one glass of wine and a glass of bubbly at midnight, with no dip in the fountain in Chamberlain Square to round it off spoilsports. Before I go a very merry Happy to you all. See you about midday tomorrow.

The half wits have started letting off fireworks, I expect the morons will be doing the same later. Some real idiots will be doing it in the morning.

I will now do what I do every Friday but as I have an intense dislike of all this new year crap I shall be doing it alone. Her next door will spend the evening in floods of tears and I can't be doing with that.
Tomorrows just another day. Just remember that this planet and it's people have been around a lot longer than 2011 years.

I hope you all like my little new year joke, it's a pity it isn't the last day of March.

No VM, the real idiots are those who (presumably) get so drunk that they forget they have fireworks and remember and let them off the middle of next week. There are sure to be some of those -there sertainly were on Nov. 5th
