RE: MOTHERS The Home Of Good Sounds - 3
This is the place where Brummies used to chat about Birmingham old and new along with anything else that interests us.
We have Quizzes, Pizzas, Local History, News, Politics, Wedding Cake, Plum Pudding, Champagne, Easter Eggs and, above all, Respect for our fellow members.
I will be going to this. Kevin Duffy of Bimingham Librarys produced a book about Mothers. There are three passages in this book by me. The January event is organised by Dave Gordon and Kevin Duffy I was advised some time ago. I was invited onto the organising committee but I Am unable to commit the time.SB
I will take pictures tomorrow, there was another big spread it todays B,Ham Mail about it, I think there may be a fair turnout. There is usually no shortage of people at theses do's.
Quote: astwood wrote in post #45SB how was it only open for 3 years with all the groups that use to go there?
Nobody expected Mothers to be the iconic place it turned out to be. Dale forty the furniture shop belo it wanted their storeroom back and Mothers owners lost the lease. This is for tomorrow. http://livebrum.co.uk/st-barnabas-church...dington-reunion
