It's all a front Volty is really opening a tin of Alphabet soup. for two reasons by the time he has warmed it up and watched the letters go round, he not only gets enough goodness to keep the Rickets away but the letters start him off with his next post. For roughage he keeps a box of Bonio's handy. These he dips in the soup. It's makes it more filling and gives him a shiny coat. This is all washed down with two little bottles of cat milk, this is because he is Lactose intolerant and it stops his wind problems.

The only bit of SBs imaginings that might be true is the lactose intolerance, but it's only mild.
Does alphabet soup really exist? I know there was alphabetti spaghetti.
