Sorry I meant Water not power. That's a long time, I bet there was a load of nasty stuff come out of your taps when it came on.

They told us to run the taps for 15 minutes Not nice on a water meter

I'm not surprised about running your taps for so long but the alternative wouldn't have been very healthy.
