I don't go to a pub anymore, just a garage for a can of oil.

Time to say Goodnight, got a busy day tomorrow. Got a load of boards to bring down from the loft for the shed.

i still cant work out why we cant post photos sb...its the only forum i know of where we cant...

We can post photo's and our memory space isn't full.
Xobor say they can't find a fault, but when they test it they aren't approaching the problem as a member, they are just writing to our storage area, so they can't possibly know what happens when we try.
I have posted test pictures and have a small success rate, most time the error page comes up.
Sometimes it goes to error but the picture still attaches to the test post.
Don't forget to keep file sizes below 1mb.

just tried to post a photo size 87.6 kb...does that come within the 1mb allowed because i couldnt post it...

We can actually post files up to around 4mb but that uses up our space too quickly.
What I have found is that smaller files will upload before the site throws a wobbly and goes to the 404 error page.

To Upload
Choose the photo, click "upload" then wait and see, if it goes to a different page click "back" on your browser and then submit or save the post. Don't wait for confirmation.

There is a glitch and Xobor are no help so either it will clear up in time, i.e. when Xobor next update the software, or we may be stuck with it.

Good evening everyone, I would say it's a nice quiet evening here in Sheldon or at least it should be. Apart from the squadron of planes taking off from Birmingham Airport (we share their airspace) and two or three noisy motorbikes with idiots invariably doing wheelies a couple of roads away and there goes a couple of Fire Engines screaming down Garretts Green Lane. But we won't moan about them, long may they be able to do, before our wonderful Council makes them all redundant and yes I really think that they are stupid enough to do it.

There is no fire service in the city centre and hasn't been for some time.
The reason? There aren't enough fires to warrant it.
Why aren't there enough fires to warrant a fire service? Because the fire service did an excellent job of prevention and education.

It is easy to get rid of something with a hundred year history when you can't see what it does, any idiot can manage that, it's not so easy to start something, when the need arises, that will go on to have such a history.
We will end up with no fire service at all and go back to insurance company brigades.
While Birmingham burns the Nero's of the council will be playing the fiddle, in every sense of the word.

I think before that we will have an NHS controlled by american insurance companies, whereby, you have to have your insurance documents on you at all times, else the ambulances will not pick you up if you have an accident. At least that is what Boris Johnson and those who advocate Brexit would most like - dump the poor , so that the crooked scum can rise to the top

Where I live in Sheldon Birmingham, the Council actually tried to close our local Garretts Green Fire station several years ago. At a packed meeting at the Yardley library the Council outlined their case.
Our Councilor Neil Eustace made a strong opposing speech against the closure, I Immediately backed him up with a follow up from the residents perspective.
I pointed out that Sheldon Fire Station was built around 1950, and one thing that the Fire Service was good at was siting Fire Stations. Since that station has been built, the Chelmsley Wood housing estate had been built (which is covered by Sheldon station), a large industrial estate has been built opposite the station. Birmingham Airport has greatly increased in size (which is backed up by Sheldon and other stations for emergency manpower). Heartlands Hospital has been turned into a large General Hospital with the Capability of landing Air Ambulances. Also Sheldon Fire Station sits next to a main London-Birmingham railway line and there are several Schools in the area. Did anyone think that Sheldon would not be missed.
That closure was never carried through.

Good evening everyone, what a dismal, miserable day. We came out of Morrissons this afternoon and it was hammering down.
