What a day we had. today our new Suite came. All organised, we had two old Sofa's. ok So far, scuse the pun. One Sofa went with the the rubbish last Thursday, Second one to be collected at 10 am this morning to make room for the new stuff. Easy. Well the second one went this morning as planned. Then the new stuff arrived, wonderful we said. Unfortunately The new Sofa didn't fit through the front door. No problem the delivery guys decided it would absolutely fly through the back door. Except that it wouldn't. We'll have to take it back, one of them said. It would go through the window one of the other chaps decided. So I got on the Ham Bone to our Double Glazing man who with an hours notice turned up and took out the middle two segments of our front Bow Window (which is only a few months old), then the furniture guys returned and shoved the new Sofa in through the window. Brian from Diamond Windows put the Bow window back together and all was right with the world.
My wife is now recovering in a Sanitorium in Madland. I have since consumed Six bottles of Scotch, Six bottles of brandy, Four Rum and a case of antidepressants.
I hope to sleep until Christmas day...2025.
