Yes he is a lovely dog I'm just hoping that he can get along with all the rest of our animals and the kids. We will have him on a weeks trial first just to be sure. We don't want to ruin his life or ours.

This is the rescue dog we are thinking of having, he is a Great Dane / Mastiff cross about 4 years old. We are going to see him tomorrow.

Any luck with rehoming your cat SB??

Two dogs here I am afraid and think the westie would cause big trouble if we had a cat.

Just got home with the new dog, the cat just took one look at him and attacked him. Not a good start he was fine, it was the cat. Well I have got one week to get them used to each other. If I can't do it in that time, I don't know what I will do. I'm all for letting them work around each other but I don't know if that will work.

Phil we had the same problem but with two cats. And a dog. They settled down after about three days
