We had quite a downpour for about 20 minutes here, I was in Shirley at the time. Took the granddaughter to buy another animal (a gerbil) she wanted two. But because it was the last one on on its own she had to have it, because it was lonely. don't ask me me how she knows that (I think she speaks to them). Now she has got to go to all the trouble of getting another one and getting the two used to each other.

The obvious name for a Gerbil would be Maureen.

I think at the moment the name is Elizabeth, but that may change when she gets her friend. I hope I didn't give the impression my granddaughter was a child. She is nearly 19 and is studying to be a Vet. She has got more animals than a zoo. The trouble is she breaks down when they die, she just lost 3 gerbils one straight after the other in a short time.
So I took her out to cheer her up by buying her some more, as far as I can see it has only caused a problem. Though she says gerbils are a gregarious animal and like company that they will get used to other gerbils if introduced while young and it is done slowly.

My children & grandchildren have made me what I am today, and that is stone broke and a cripple. No I lie but even if that were true, they would be worth every penny and every crippled bone.
