Ok,enough. One doesn't squirt ones sauce from a bottle, one makes ones own. Sorry.
What I am driving at is that a good sauce is not a sugar loaded ketchup but a well flavoured gravy with stock and herbs and juices of meat. Vegetarians may have alternatives but my meaty sauces consist of red wine, meat juices (blood, fat, and the final gravy coloured juice), black pepper and any appropriate herbs, thickened with Bisto granules. Not Haute Cuisine but a tasty bit of gravy.

Today I am doing leg of lamb roast, with boiled and roast spuds, sprouts, cauliflower, swede, peas and gravy. I always make enough for 3 big dinners, and bag them in the oven on Monday and Tuesday.

If I dropped my wallet, I couldn't afford the crane to pick it back up again. Funny enough thats what all the old queens used to say in the 60's. "You will be alright in here luvie all the rough trade have moved on".
