Model cars

#1 by Sheldonboy , Thu Dec 06, 2012 9:07 pm

I have for some years been collecting model Die Cast vehicles. I only buy them when the price is right but can be quite profitable. I recently bought three " Exclusive first editions" for a total of £14 from Brum market. I have seen the same models for £12 each. Thats not a bad rate of interest.

Graham

If you lived in my house with my wife you would come in one day to find the kids playing with them or them or you would find them in the dust bin classed as dust gatherers.

Mine are all photographed catalogued and put away. My wife knows the value and the investment. Although relatively small in value collectively they are well worth keeping.

You can't really afford to keep dump trucks unless you specialise in earth moving like motorway work or similar. So what you do is buy trucks that can do site work and road work you know the best of both worlds. We had several dumpers though some of them were quite big, bigger than a Dinky anyway.

Bearing in mind the age of this model, the colour variation may be down to another production run, maybe by another shift or worker. Even today colours can vary. They may even have run out of the correct colour.
