It was nice to see a bit of Brum again - it's been too many years since I last visited. The buses look totally different to how they looked when I was last there! I do remember trams too (probably giving away my age in admitting that) and used to really enjoy riding on them. As a child I lived for a while in Rubery and that's how we got there the stop was outside what was then 'Rubery Asylum'.

I see some super special selfish person has parked on the pavement, what better reason to close the street to traffic.

Volty there are two vans parked there, if you are working nearby and have cause to be backward and forward to your vehicle all day and it is only a one day job you can get permits to park your vehicle almost anywhere at certain times. I know I have had to apply for that many over the years.

Corporation Street has been buggered about with for centuries, I am sure it will all work out nicely, eventually... but then again, I've always been good at plaiting sawdust....Pity they couldn't have done this latest ploy yonks ago though, then I might not have been almost run over by a bus when staggering out of Yates's...

Consider the good changes for a moment...

I always walked in the front way and staggered out the back way on the way to my next pub.
