Here you are Scooby a few more Tile Cross images for your collection.
A photo of Tile Cross Farm in 1919 which I believe is now covered by East Meadway Fastmoor Speedway Cycle team, I'm afraid that I know nothing about this team even the name means little to me. Sheldon Hall in 1953, I understand its a carvery now I keep promising myself that we will give it a try but we haven't got round to it yet.

yes Sheldon Hall is a carvery, and its quite good, although it can get quite full of young children . thanks for the photos, i think i am right in thinking the the farm was situated in the area that is now shirestone road/ mulwych road, just off from tile cross road. i could be wrong , sure someone will know. I Know nothing about that team either. :-)
Hi. New to this site (otherwise v. old!) Great to see photo of Sheldon Hall. I used to deliver paper there from Sheasby's (Not still owned by them then, but still called that). Went to restaurant that's there now a few years ago on visit to Brum. Quite an evening on nostalgia.
Hello SGH thanks for joining us it's good to hear from you, I have visited Sheldon Hall, but not for a while. I am a fairly near neighbour to you. Although you say you were visiting, maybe you have moved away. I live in Garretts Green Sheldon. Can you tell us anything about your interests. I look forward to reading your posts.
