With regards to Xobor coming up with a new feature to inform posters that a new post has been made to a thread whilst someone else is typing another one. They now inform me that they will not be implementing this at all now.
When pushed for an answer why not, the answer was they have thousands of forums that they host and that they have deemed this not important. I am at the moment awaiting an answer to "Do they mean that sites in other countries are more important than the UK, as as they host very few forums in the UK they can hardly be inundated with new feature requests from this country" Or words more or less to that effect. I have to add that their attitude was very dismissal.
Anybody who wants to see what exactly has been taking place have a look here,

Just read all their replies Phil, as you say a bit dismissive, but it doesn't bother me about duplicate posts really.
I must say duplicte posts don't bother me too much. They can even be amusing.
As we have a totally free site that Xobor could pull the plug on whenever they wish
Maybe we shouldn't push it too much.
To be fair it hasn't happened too often in nearly 30000 posts. SB

Perhaps I am the wrong one to be dealing with Xobor, but I cannot stand being spoken down to and even less treated as second class. I realise they are giving us a free service, but I also take on board that they are not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. So if it is a business then they should act in a business like manner.
I am not sure if this is the way that Germans conduct business, I only know I wouldn't have lasted five minutes in business with their attitude.

I now intend to leave things as they are, I have registered that I am not a happy little bunny. Nobody is saying that they have to give us what we want, just that we expect better treatment. An answer for instance telling us that they had changed their minds would have been a courtesy instead of me having to drag it out of them after waiting for weeks.

I agree Phil. It doesn't take much to put an email together. SB

Just to let you know the last word in this saga posted to me on the Xobor help site today is this,
"just be assured that it is being though about and it will happen!"
So we will just have to be patient.

Good news I have just learnt from Ingmar at Xobor that the requested addition to stop double posting will be included in the next upgrade that is planned to take place sometime before Christmas.
