I was trained in fine art - painting and drawing (at Walsall in the early 80's) - but ended up going (mainly) into graphic design / art after leaving college. Unfortunately, because of a mix of dodgy nerves and rheumatics, I can hardly hold a pencil still for more than a few minutes at a time these days!! The 'pictish' faces were the only thing I've drawn in absolutely years now.....
Re. the modelling - this was something I did (fairly briefly) a good few years back after starting some classes at the now closed Bilston Art College....... Despite the art training, I had never had much experience with sculpting, etc, and I must admit I really enjoyed it when I did manage to try my hand at it. As mentioned, I ended up giving most of the stuff I made away, except for a few of the dodgier efforts when I first started! Laugh!!!
Regards,
Nick

I have to show this. I was in a shop in Sutton Coldfield yesterday and came across this. A Green Man mug.
