Sounds like a bad accident ,or even worse a mistake on someone's part,which ever ,it's cost a man his life.

Apparently now it is one dead and three "missing", hwich probably means 4 dead. It makes you wonder if they were going to demolish the building with expolsoives and they detonated early

According to the latest, from Didcot's MP, the building was being weakened ready for demolition in ten days time.

The description of it being a ten storey building is a bit misleading, it was 212 feet high. It was also 980 feet long, that's quite a lot of building.

According to the BBC this morning there were no explosives on site yet.

I see the demolition contractors are Coleman & company of brum
they did a lot of work on new street station

Reports say the other guys are unlikely to be found alive, I think we knew that last night really though. Very sad.

It seems the families of the dead, and particularly their MP, don't mind if others get killed while fetching the bodies out. Now that IS a disgrace.

In a situation where casualties may be alive, people are prepared to take risks. But when there is no possibility of life and a risk assesment considers it too dangerous to retrieve bodies. This retrieval can't possibly be sanctioned. No one can risk other lives in this situation although it's obviously distressing for the next of kin.
