Was round the corner from Minster pool and could hear the ducks making such a noise.Went to have a look what was going on and The Heron was sat on the middle of the ice.

I had quite a surprise last summer when a Heron or a Crane landed on our roof. I'm no expert on birds so I'm not sure what it was, but I had never seen one around here before. Though we have got a lake nearby.
Why would you be going through Sparkhill? I thought you worked in the Greet area? From the city you would go through Sparkbrook which I agree looks like a Beirut war zone.

Down the Phil we get a Heron over our way, I have chased it away from my ponds before now. I have seen a Heron on the big lake on Elmdon park. I have also seen them on the side of canals when I have travelled on a Narrow boat, I think there is a canal not too far from you.
I started out with nothing and Iv'e still got most of it left
