i know SB..ive had my eye on them for 3 years and i just happened to say if ever they need a good home im yer man lol..its not a small round one but a long oblong one and the top is original too...just arranging transport to get it picked up..i shall invite you and jo over in the summer for a drink...
morning john...dont worry the table is staying just as it is...think i may be able to get it in the shed with a bit of juggling around if not it will be well protected ...god its cold out this morning..

Good for you, morning Frothy, I see so many old pub tables painted,we have restored quite a few for our pub, the most you should do is keep it clean and if the top is in good condition wax or polish it,sometimes they need stripping and re-staining,but that's all and never paint cast iron.
mike my table is being dropped off at lunch time so i will have to get dressed now..
im going to keep it in the kitchen as the top although covered is very damp so i want it to dry out completly before i wax and polish it then i will do some research on the iron foundry who made it...it does have name on but ive forgotton is now..sure its birmingham made..
