Morning All

Sunny here but cold, John I like the photos and especially the information on the mudlarks. I remember at one time when you went by train to any sea side town there would be droves of kids with carts waiting to carry your luggage. They used to make quite a few bob at it.

I haven't been to Portsmouth for years to look around, I have been though a few times to catch the ferry though. It certainly has changed around the Victory. The last time I was down there must have been in 71 (40 years ago) and there was just the Victory on its own, has it been re-sited recently?

Phil the Victory as far as I know is still in the same position, but the whole dockyard area has had a massive facelift and very well done it is,although a tad expensive,but well worth it for the first time.
The shopping centre is wonderful and very interesting,mixing old and new,the Christmas lights and market open this Sunday,don't let the missus loose, she'll have the time of her life, whilst you can sit outside at one of the numerous bars and restaurants chilling, knowing your card is being maxed out.

Yes Portsmouth looks pretty good at the moment. I might take the wife and myself down there for a weekend in the Spring/
