With reference to my remarks last night about quotes, I still stand by them, but I apologise unreservedly for insinuating that anyone on the forum is stupid, it was not meant to sound like that.
I still think quotes aren't needed once the reply has been posted, then surely we all know to what it is appertaining to.
Thank you John.
Quotes are useful, such as now when others have posted after you.
They will remain and be a matter of choice for the poster. SB

I accept that they will remain SB, but they will still do my head in,anyway end of story, off to jump off Beachy Head.
Good Morning Everyone.
I gather something has been going on regarding quotes.
I don't know what exactly as when I tried to read the thread from my last post I had to skip a couple of pages because the quotes made it all too tiresome to read.

Frothy, re: quotes, It's up to me whether or not I can be bothered to read the repeats.
It isn't up to me whether or not they remain a feature of this forum.
You must have noticed I use them when I see fit.

i agree froth...i think the quotes are useful especially when replying to a post that was made well before you spotted it...such as if you are at work all day or just out and we catch up on all the posts made during the day....sometimes i cant remember what i posted an hour ago so its good to be reminded with the quotes
have a good day all...
