oh john i do hope it stays fine for the bikers...i do feel that they get a lot of bad publicity sometimes....strange how we only here about the odd few who cross the line but equally strange that we do not hear enough about all the good charity works they do..both of my sons are bikers so i speak from experience...i wish them all well today...
Lyn
The reason we don't hear so much about the good people do, is because sadly only bad news sells newspapers.

Largely true Phil, but there are a few cases where this is not so. I'm sure the pictures showing michael Portillo's face after losing the election 10 years ago sold an enormous number of newspapers

Every bike that comes to the rally pays £5 , which goes to the Sussex Heart Charity, all pedestrians get in for free with a donation hinted at but not enforced, whilst walking around today I noticed lots of collectors with open buckets,I thought these were illegal, and whilst not in any way suggesting foul practice some of these buckets were full to the brim and required two people to carry them.
Bucket Collections are not illegal as far as I know John. What you are not supposed to do is shake collecting tins etc in front of people. This is intimidation. SB

John your Brighton wheel looks very similar to the Birmingham wheel. I know it travels around a bit. I believe it's been seen in France.
