Great news Phil. A future Prime Minister at the very least. God, he must be clever, it is SO hard to get into now. You must be chuffed to boggery (never could spell much)....

Yes Mike & Dennis I think he did pretty well, I did hear there were at least 10 applicants or more for each place. His dad is kicking himself now after promising him £500 if he got in.

Blimey Phil, will he be calling on granddad for a supplement? Mine do... Is it the one in Edgbaston?

The schools have moved around a bit now since our day, I think its in Kings Heath now. My son can well afford the £500 he's got a good job, I'm just trying to think what my wife and I promised to give him because he won't forget.

Oh blimey, that's my old school Phil. I will put a good word in for him, as we know the Head, not that he'll need it. One of the top ten in the UK! He will LOVE it there. I did three years at the old Gothic beauty on Stratford Road, and three at the modern Art Deco style Kings Heath when we moved in 1957. And I just wrote to all my old school boys to join this Forum...small world eh?

Great now SB. Blues won a Cup ( I was there in 56) at last, I posted a photo on here successfully (many more to come now), and Spring is about to be Sprung. Life is GOOD. Have you seen the scaffolding on the Spire too? Who will nick that then? Thanks for your warm welcome btw. Go safe mate.

I was a little worried when my son told me it was KEGS Camp Hill I thought no way, so I looked it up and found it was in Kings Heath now.

The youngest great grandson is coming along great considering that he should not have long been born. He is now weighing in at 7lb 10 oz or there abouts, and he has discovered that he has got a pair of lungs and he is also learning how to use them.
