Yes it looks like its going to be another nice day, I have just fell out of bed. I'm too late for breakfast so I'm just waiting for dinner.
When a married man talks in his sleep, it's because he finally has the opportunity to say something without the wife interrupting him.
Just heard on the BBC News, The Blackcountry Museum is to shed about 70 jobs and close for two days per week. Due to visitor numbers being well down. Wouldn't be something to do with the wettest summer ever by any chance.

I saw an interesting plaque on the wall of some cottages in the Black Country Museum
Now although I believe it to be true that the first branch of Lloyds bank was opened in Oldbury.
John Taylor and Sampson Lloyd started their private banking business in Dale End Birmingham in 1765. There is a Blue Plaque on a wall, near MacDonalds stating that that was the site of the original Lloyds bank. Any theories welcome.

SB
That might be entirely possible the branch on the High Street wasn't a branch as we would know it today. It was in fact a banking house and not a branch where you could go in and deposit and draw cash. I'm not very sure about this and its a bit late to start looking into it now, but I think the branch down by the Old Crown in Digbeth might have been the first branch in Birmingham. I'll see what I can find out tomorrow.

Wikipedia entry for Lloyds Bank gives:
The origins of Lloyds Bank date from 1765, when button maker John Taylor and iron producer and dealer Sampson Lloyd II set up a private banking business in Dale End, Birmingham. The first branch office opened in Oldbury, some six miles (10 km) west of Birmingham, in 1864
this is near enough the same as proposed by SB

Morning all, yes a bit of a change in the weather, SB if you are a non worker you tend to stay out of the garden while the wife is about. Or else it's "isn't it time you did this or isn't it time you did that".
The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret.
Anybody heard anything from Mike? I see he hasn't voted yet which is unusual for him.
