Have you tried humane mice traps, just capture them and take them off somewhere far away and release them. There are also ultrasonic sound devices that you can use that are supposed to keep the mice at bay.
i know you can get ultra sound devices for in the house but can you also get them for in the garden. must go to webbs at wychbold and see what i can pick up. i ll let them have a good weekend in the warm weather. i v been told to put a spoonful of peanut butter in a bucket, with bricks in the form of stairs so they can climb into the bucket then when they are in take them somewhere. these mice seem to be able to jump up the tree tho so i think they would jump out of a bucket.
oh, well i will give it a go. we dont seem to have any cats around at the moment and yet when i had my dog the cats were always coming into the garden.

You sound as if you have field mice which are a different variety to house mice, the best thing is a humane trap. Myself I would just give them a good whack with a piece of 3 x 2.

Good morning all, it looks like you have got a nice day for your trip to the Black Country Museum, having been I know you will enjoy your day. Lyn don't let SB have too many goes on the Carousel you know he will get sick.
Keep your expectations to a minimum and you'll be less disappointed that way.
No mate I like the little ones with the fire engine.

thanks astoness for using the hammer, its not brought out often enough.
phil my other half would do the same as you with regards the mice, he hates rodents of any sort. he says when you v been brought up in balsall heath with an outside lav and the rats are as big as cats looking at you under the door, i would hate them to.
i would love an owl. i did hear one in the tree a couple of winters ago but no owls, cats or anything since mice have arrived. been out all day checking to see what i can get for them, in the way of eviction. i put some apple out for them yesterday and they turned their noses up at it, only want to eat the bird seed.
sun so warm here today, shops have already started having christmas things in.
