A great year for our fish so far, although we lost a handful of older ones earlier in the year, we had loads of young and I mean 20-30 recently and I think we only lost one of those.

We must have around 40-50. Some of them are still black. I didn't know until recently that Goldfish are born Black.

neither did i until the 2 fish i had had for 6 years decided to have a baby after all that time..shame that one of them died last year so down to 2 now..

The probably had more than one. Fish are notoriously Canibalistic. We are lucky its quite a big pond with dense weed so they can hide better. It's the same with the Frogspawn, We get loads and the fish thrive on them when they hatch you can't beat live food for fish.

i used to get frogs sb but not since had to cover the pond with mesh to deter the heron that was hanging about..there was one on chimney pot the other day
