Mainly For Brummies But All Are Welcome To Join In The Birmingham Fun & Chat |

Hi, I am gravon42. I have lived in Birmingham all my life, (72 so far!) Born in Sparkbrook, South Road. Visited there some years
ago....nothing left of the old place! No houses, shops, Woodman pub, all gone. Nearest I can find on this site is Balsall Heath,
Ladypool Road. Used to go down there often, with my parents and sister. Anyone from Sparkbrook??

Good evening Gravon, many thanks for joining us and may I extend a very big welcome to you. We are a very small but very friendly bunch and a new voice is always a treat.
I hope you find plenty on here to interest you but if not please feel free to add anything that you think may interest the rest of us.
I work not far from your old area and I can say with a great deal of authority that I wouldn't advise that you went back there now and certainly not alone.
So once again a great big welcome to you and lets hear some more from you pal.

Hello all. May I introduce myself?
I am called Baron, my maiden family name from Nechells , I was born in Ladywood 1947. Moved to Quinton. 1955/6. I look forward to reading the posts and memories of Brum.
Welcome to the forum Baron.
Nechells and Ladywood have been popular subjects butI don't think we have much written about Quinton.
I look forward to your input.
