we very nearly lost this pub but thank god we didnt..one of the finest if not THE finest victorian pubs in the country with the added bonus of also catching a glmpse of the aston hippodrome before it was demolished...our wonderful council has a lot to answer for over the years because once these buildings have gone they are gone..we will never see the likes again...to those of you who are not aware of the british film institute site take a look..
