Interesting topic SB My father told me they had prisoners of war working on our farm in the 1940s he said they were from a camp at Hampton Lovet nr Droitwich

Good evening Astwood, as I understand things POWs build the roads around our estate, in the late 1940s they probably mixed the concrete by hand.

My father said they were put to work on the farm for a bigger yield of crops because of the food shortage

That was the best of living in the country just after the war there was plenty to eat unlike other places
