That's not fair, our council published plans for a project, some time ago and did exactly what they promised to do.
They must have done once surely?

Now they plan to make us pay extra to recycle garden rubbish and are putting monetary threats upon us for the collection of other garbage, notwithstanding that this is a service for which we are already paying.

With regard to the green recycling, if we want a wheelie bin for it we have to pay an extra £35 per year.
A years worth amounts to about twenty collections.
Wheelie bins are not very easy to handle and store so not surprisingly the take up has been small.
When leaves from trees in the street blow onto our front drive I now sweep them back into the street.

According to the latest Lib-Dem "Focus" paper, in which our own heroic Carol Jones claims to have single handedly improved Yardley in many ways……
"Some Of Labour's Wheelie Bin Rules
*If the lid on your bin is open it will not be emptied
*If you put the wrong item in a bin it will not be emptied
*Any extra bags of rubbish (side Waste) will not be collected
*If your bin gets damaged or stolen you will be charged for a replacement."

Good morning young Voltsperson. First of all no matter what gets done in Yardley the Lib Dems claim that they have been responsible for it. When I was a member of a local community group we hounded the Councillors at our meetings chasing jobs to improve the area, which did get done but the Lib Dems (who control the entire area ) printed in the Focus newsletter that they had done.
With regard to your comment about already paying for the Garden waste service that we are expected to pay £35 for. There are actually many services that our totally useless Government and Councillors are bleeding us for and doing very little now for our money.
Still as long as we can afford the £11 billion that we give away in foreign aid every year everything is ok.
Am I bitter, TOO BLOODY RIGHT.
