im not sure if this is true but hear goes the maypole on each of the four main corners of the maypole was in a different county this is going back to the 40s my granddad told me he used to play rugby for Mosley

And Graham I won't risk the kitchen remark as I dont fancy defenestration this early in the year,the ground's too hard and it's a tad too parky...I still hope to find time to pursue my interests in History,Archaeology and Folk Music and hope to share snippets of obervation and quasi- wisdom with you forum 'old pros',c'est a dire.
