Yes Volty, I have seen this advertised last year, I couldn't get there though it's too awkward.

Believe it or not I can make my own out of Matchsticks, I have started making a guards band, with instruments, (horses too) I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Don't forget they have to be to scale SB.
A six foot guardsman at 4mm, OO gauge, 1/76th scale is 24mm high.
A trumpet is about 20 inches long with a 5 inch bell, 7mm and 2mm
A trombone is 46 inches long with an 8 inch bell, 16mm and 3mm

I used this software for designing my layout, very easy to use and good fun even if you aren't going to build one.

It is readily avaiable but it comes at a high price. You need a suitable layout to justify the inclusion of a fairground and the very limited choice of era for the fairground rides will fix the era for the layout, making the range of acceptable rolling stock more specific.

Hornby have published their list of models for 2017.

http://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/hornby-new-for-2017.html

In previous years they have always failed to produce the goods in the year they planned, I'm still waiting for a couple from 2014.
I won't be buying any this year anyway, I've seen the prices.

Hornby have had a very lean time in recent years. They say they have made decisions which have totally upset their dealers. They have a new CEO who has reversed most of this. Hopefully they will save the company. It came close to disaster.
