how strange that 2 beehive pubs caught fire....i think i must have taken the last photos of the inside of this pub...photos are on this thread..took me life in me hands taking them as it already had a fire and was almost falling down and this was 2 years back

If my memory is right ,my oldest sister's first job was at dennison's on a press ,use to pop in the outdoor for a packet of crisp's in her dinner time.

Hi lyn ,yes your right it was a very busy factory in it's day ,don't know what happens there now ,employed a lot of women worker's.

Shame about the Beehive, though from Lyns photos I doubt if there was ever a chance of it re-opening. I remember many happy hours spent there when some friends ran it in the late 1960s. No surprise it "happened" to catch fire. I think any pub owned by one the the pub companies can consider itself lucky if it does not spontaneously combust
