I use to go there with mates in the mid fifties, if there was nothing on the villa cross.It didnt take long to walk from villa road, down hamstead road and soho hill,going back a bit now though.

What amazes me is that some of these places were rather grand, presumably with some value and actually owned by someone, yet they are allowed to slip into a sad valueless decline.?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

How sad to see those pictures of the Palladium, I often went there in the 30/40's, sometimes had to sneak in the Exit at the bottom end, when I had no money to get in, a wonderful place for youngsters like me and the wonderful films they had on.

Voltman, Forgot to mention the lovely shops that were nearby, I had my first suit from the outfitters nearby when i was sixteen.

There was another little cinema up soho road, between thornhill road and stafford road, it was called the elite i see thats gone as well .Spent a few wet sunday afternoons in there.
