Ring O' Bells Public House, Yardley

#1 by Voltman , Mon Aug 12, 2013 3:22 pm

This pub, the latest of three Ring O' Bells in Yardley village, was built in 1939 and finally closed around seventy years later.
It is currently decaying at an alarming rate.

Our own thread recording memories of this pub is to be found here ... The Ring O' Bells, Yardley

This is how it was recently, still displaying the illiteracy of the sign writer for all to see.

Very sad to see the Ring o' Bells in its current state of decay. I remember going with my Mom and Dad and sitting outside with a bottle of pop and a packet of crisps. Also, the outdoor where you could take empty bottles back and get a few coppers for them! Oh, what memories!

Hi Jack, I remember the Ringers well, it was always a good family pub. I was never an Ansells man though to be fair. Whoever would have thought that a Brewey that size and pubs like the Ring O Bells would disappear.
