Two TA soldiers dead training in the Brecon Beacons and one seriously ill in extreme heat A spokesman said it was cooler than Afghanistan. Maybe so but troops in the field have backup and medics on hand the are not subject to the merciless pushing of sadistic drill Sergeants. Also we have yet to be told the ages, there are some very young people in the TA. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-23308215

The Brecon Beacons are a pretty rough place, SAS trainees have been known to get in trouble there and even die. I think the problem today with our young squaddies is that they are very competitive and they won't be seen to give in, accordingly they push themselves too far.
Whilst I completely agree that to give us some of the best troops in the world they have to undergo extreme endurance training, I would have thought it most useful for them to undergo extreme survival training first.
