Great these railcars, being painted brown and yellow, they were nicknamed
"Flying Bananas"
This is my model, I picked it up for £25 I have seen them for sale at £65

No mate you probably wouldnt, they would have been seen around the West Country kind of area, quiet Branch lines in the country etc. They were more like a kind of bus service.
38 of them were in service from around 1934-1962.

I suppose they went when beeching closed all the small branch lines.

They did visit Snow Hill,as seen here, apparently on the service to dudley

I wonder why the covers are off from the side of the Railcar.

That must be Taylor and Challen in the background.
