Olympic Crimes

One has to assume that muggings, murders and burglaries affecting ordinary taxpayers continued as usual whist the Met were tracking down the perpertrators of these heinous crimes of overcharging the over rich.

Volty I disagree these crimes should be prsued. Where the problems are. Lie in this government robbing the police of money and rescources. Everything should matter.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity,
and I'm not sure about the former.

As you quite rightly say, SB, the police have had important resources removed. What is even worse though is the introduction of the new police commisioners, who, as has been reported, used their "election" as an opportunity to corruptly employ all their mates at exhorbitant salaries when there is no need for them These are just sinecures to people who will do bugger all useful (as will the commissioners themselves). All that money could have been used to retain policing instead of enlarging the culture in the country, and other countries , of an administration culture, where administrators expand in numbers and salary, while those that do something useful are cut.

The only questions that I want to ask are, Did the fines imposed equate to the profit made by these people? Did the £7,500 costs cover the costs of the investigation and if not why not?

As for the people that bought these tickets. I have one thing to say. "more money than sense".
