I cannot find any reason for the production of these tokens with florets in 1846 other than the opening of the Rodney or the addition of a new hall in 1847. I had a thought that they might have been used to differentiate the tokens as opposed to tokens without the florets. Ones with one night and the next night ones without. This way they would be able to tell if they were used on the night they were issued.

It is not online. The book, which I had never heard of before, came up on e-bay earlier this year,
MG is the Montague guest collection in th eBritish museum
F is collection of Dr freudenthal, British museum
M is On manuscript list of collection of John macmillan, the present position of the collection is (in 1978) unknown
B is dept Archeology, Birm Museum & Art Gallery
F is "from other transient lists" - not very helpful
I think BFHL must refer to several source ( not clear):
B as dept Archeology, Birm Museum & Art Gallery
F is "from other transient lists"
H is in present collection of present compiler (R.N.P.Hawkins)
L - no idea as it is not listed
That's the best I can do I'm afraid

I don't know if you have seen the online book "The token coinage of Warwickshire with descriptive and historical notes (1895)"
at http://archive.org/details/tokencoinageofwa00daviuoft . I mentions some Holders tokens

Mike,
I've just had a good read. Found the detailed reference on Holder's on Page 114
May I just check with you that I didn't miss any other reference, that you may have picked up.
Lynn. - Thank-you.

I usually download anything like this, and had already . On the downloaded pdf I just went to "Edit", then "Find" . I think that is the same as Control F. I get a small box to put in the search term,

I'm sorry but I didn't keep a record of where I got it from, as I was just surfing. I suppose it might have been the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery Site as the name does come to mind.

In the list that I showed earlier there is also this picture of an octagonal token, which presumably is the "octalube" referrred to in the list

Yes Mike, This token I do have and also one, in the same shape, with 2d on the back but they are not as light grey in colour as the photographs.
They are more of a bronze colour.
Lynn.
