They are lucky in one way that the village is on so steep a hill, or else there would have been severe flooding.

i agree it such a steep hill i should think the water just ran down to the sea as fast as it could. altho i expect the residents were not able to get out. just as well the donkeys live up at the top of the village now.,

just read the bulletin and had not realised the water had managed to get into some of the houses and pulled up some of the cobbles. such a shame.
