The law on Squatters Rights changes on Saturday. While I have every sympathy with homeless people and this problem must be addressed , why should anyone have the right to take over anyone elses property and sometimes destroy it http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-19429936
Without the squatting laws a lot of people would have been homeless after the last war, but I would be the first to admit that they have gotten a little out of hand and needed reform. The trouble is all I think this will do is eat up all the funds allocated to legal aid in squatting cases, thus making it harder for those in real need to get it.
I agree Phil, there will be problems initially but the amount of these should drop with time. The Homeless problem is of course massive and this must be addressed. We all know house building has slowed down especially Council houses and with the mass immigration we are still experiencing< this problem can only be expanding.
