Following Instructions

Are you good are obeying insructions exactly and quickly, this little test is devised to find
out if you are. To take part you need a blank piece of paper and a pen or
pencil. If you don't follow the instructions given and you don't have these
items in front of of you then the test won't work. So get hold of the items
and well make a start. You will have exactly 2 minutes to follow the
instructions that are given from the moment you start reading them.
If you take longer you have failed.

1. read these instructions through and start.

2. print your name at the top of the paper.

3. print your address at the bottom of the paper

4. print your date of birth on the right side of the paper

5. In the top right hand corner of the paper make a cross

6. In the bottom left hand corner note what time it is.

7. calculate 12 x 19 and put the answer in the top left hand corner

8. In the bottom right hand corner but the year of the battle of Hastings

9. In the middle of the page draw a smiley face

10.Underline the smiley face three times

11.put a circle around the date

12.put a box round the battle of hastings date

13.put brackets around your name

14.circle your date of birth

15.Ignore all the question with the exception of 1 & 2.

Now in complete honesty how many of you failed? Please don't add your replies for a couple of days until all those
who are going to have a go, have done so.

I didn't need two minutes, I work that way anyway. It all stems from the way I like to hold text books.

This is a good one but quite old now, I have seen it appear at the end of a few trade courses in the past.

I came across this on believe it not some course or other I took in the 80's. I think it might have been Health & Safety. I was the only one out of about thirty who didn't fall for it. I think I complained at the end of what was a two day course on how expensive it was to learn nothing I didn't know just to get accreditation that could be shown when tendering for work.

A lot of Health & Safety proclamations could be written like that, with 17 being:
Ignore above and use your common sense

Phil I have been on many courses costing a stack of money, most of which were packed out, taking a full day when it could have been done in two hours.

Yes they tend to pack them out with rubbish such as the topic of this thread, I didn't usually mind except when you spent two days learning nothing new only to get a scrap of paper saying that you knew a bunch of stuff that was just common sense. Though I have to be very honest I was sometimes amazed at just how ignorant some people were.
