Starting this Thursday, we’re inviting you to explore your family’s WWI story in detail, with free access to the Commonwealth collection on Fold3. Explore Fold3’s specialist military records in addition to Ancestry’s wartime records: everything you need to uncover your relatives’ stories on the battlefield and beyond.​

Just looked up the 3rd Cousin involved and was presented with his POW record.

The japs kidnapped him in Singapore so some of the report card is written in jap.
They give the date of "capture" as 17/2/15 which must be jap calendar. He was killed in July 43 and buried in Thailand, I have no idea how this came about.

Whilst I find it very annoying that the japs thought they had any rights to do such a thing, the card does make me smile, his address in Lozells is given as Rozells.
They wrote it how they said it.
