Remember this with your Bacon Sandwich in the morning. It still goes on apparently.

I'm appalled that this thread has turned into jokers corner.

Pigs have been mistreated for years, and what else would you expect?
The group of people who can kill animals for a living is bound to include a number who enjoy it a bit too much, while the rest are too spineless to do anything about it.
Wife and children beaters will have no problem battering a defenceless animal.

oh phil and sb, volty you are right i am a bit of a hypocrite really i dont like cruelty to animals but i do eat meat. have tried to be a vegetarian but soya and quorn just did not agree with me. there is no easy way to take the life of any creature, they are terrified when they go to die. it does not matter how they are brought up and treated in life they smell death and are terrified when they are all lined up waiting for that moment.

I love pork in all it's forms, even though my bacon may have been kicked to death.
I just wish people would treat pigs with the respect they deserve, they are very intelligent animals but receive treatment that would cause an outcry if applied to dogs.
