The Keri Gold restaurant, formerly the Chestnut tree Licenced House, was destroyed by fire yesterday. This was particularly sad for me as I was Head Barman there throughout the 1970's and a regular customer for many years. SB

Bit unusual for a pub to mysteriously gop up in flames AFTER the pub company have sold the site for a big profit

Hi Mike Yes the brewery had sold it quite a while ago, there has been considerable investment spent on it, we wait and see. SB
