Prince Charles next Head of the Commonwealth

I did hope he wouldn't be chosen. It will make him more determined to be King. I also thought that the Commonwealth country leaders would'nt vote against him, they probably think they would lose some aid if they upset the Queen.

There is the consolation that he is now 70 and with a bit of luck the queen will last a few more tears. So the country might not have to put up with him for too long before he pops off . That awful creature he is with might smother him even earlier with a bit of luck

I hope I am wrong and never thought that I would say it but I think he has been chosen as Head of The Commonwealth at this time because The Queen may be considering Abdication. I know it is unlikely but Charles is desperate to be King and her Majesty is 92 years of age. I have nothing against Prince Charles but as King Charles 3rd I think he would be bloody insufferable. I also think that the popularity of the Monarchy would sink to an all time low. If The Queen was to abdicate it would be a great time for King William in my opinion.

I don't believe Her Majesty will ever abdicate.

She may step down from some of her royal duties and ask Prince Charles and other royals to deputise for her, which at 92 she has every right to do.

Can I respectfully suggest that we should not be talking about the Queen abdicating and support her as our reigning monarch.

I believe the Duchess of Cornwall should not be known as Queen if and when Charles does become King. I support the proposal being put forward that she becomes 'Princess Consort'

I will always support The Queen. Other people have been making this assumption based on Her Majesty's feelings for her Son.

That thing could never be a princess. Duchess is acceptable to me because it brings to mind fitting images from a Lewis Carroll story.

Princess Consort makes me think of the three ugly sisters. Personally the woman always brings up an image of Cruella de Ville
