Bloody Outrageous

#1 by Sheldonboy , Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:42 am

I have just been totally sickened by a report in todays BBC News Website
In 2006 The Ministry of Defence spent 6 million pounds on Technical advice.
What a waste I thought.
Then I read on to find that they had spent 6 Billion in the last two years.
Some Consultants Receiving 4000 pounds per day.
Many Quango's are costing us a fortune too.
What the hell, let's just make a few Police Officers and Service Personnel Redundant.
It may save a few more of the being killed for nothing in Afghanistan. SB

SB

I think you might be quite surprised if you had access to the financial records of the government and that of councils up and down the country. You would find that a huge chunk of the money collected in taxes & rates goes to paying these so called advisors. We only get to hear of it now and again when it slips out. Like Birmingham City Council with it own press department who employed a firm of media experts who produced a pamphlet with the skyline of Birmingham USA on the front in the thought it was Birmingham UK.
