No, not a movie title, just a slow news day.
The BBC have decided to report on the reopened investigation into Natalie Woods death in 1981.
When was the investigation reopened? ........ 2011
This time round the quick thinking Californian police suspect foul play, all they have to do is keep making stuff up until they retire and all the suspects are dead.
Who if the chief suspect? ..... Well quite surprisingly it's husband of the deceased, the actor Robert Wagner. He's only 87.
Just 37 years after her death witnesses are queuing up to testify to seeing him beat her up and throw her into the water.

I'm sure I read, or heard on tv, that he was of interest in that matter years ago

The only obvious questions to me Are 1 is Robert Wagner innocent, or 2 has this story been sat on for thirty six years by friends until he is dead.

It's another case of supposedly overworked police forces finding time to investigate crimes from the middle ages.
One thing is for sure, there are a lot of people who say they are witnesses but didn't see anything, YET.

Natalie Wood (Victim)
Robert Wagner (Husband)
Christopher Walken (Friend of above)
Dennis Davern (Captain and self confessed liar)
Various un-named guests on the party boat.
At least one other crew member.
The boat is sometimes described as a yacht, it never went out very far, it was a drinking party trip, the rest of the "passengers" could have been guests of the first three or they might be complete strangers.
The captain of the boat has written a book about the incident.
